ANZAC DAY IN COWES
ANZAC Day 2017 is on a Tuesday so plan for a long weekend from 22nd April to 25th April. (Click on the link to see our new video)
Experience ANZAC Day services commencing with:
Dawn service – starts at 6am with poetry recorded by Offshore Theatre Group from 5.30am
Immediately followed by the Gunfire Breakfast – egg and bacon roll prepared by our chefs and by donation to the ANZAC appeal, plus complimentary tea and coffee
Morning tea at the Cowes Cultural Centre from 10am to 11am thanks to the San Remo & Phillip Island Rotary Club – free for veterans – get the family to come along and enjoy a cuppa and ANZAC biscuit
March muster is from 10:30am at the Cowes Cultural Centre
ANZAC Day march steps off at 10.50am proceeding along Thompson Avenue to the Cenotaph
11am – Commemorative Service at the Cowes Cenotaph, includes the announcement of the Phillip Island RSL ANZAC Community Award winner for 2017.
12.30pm – Post commemorative services entertainment with The Valeries from 1 to 3pm and guest appearance from the City of Whitehorse Pipes and Drums Band.
Unofficial photographers/filmers are not permitted at the two services.
