Day Clubs across Australia are run by hundreds of dedicated volunteers each week, supporting the veteran and wider community to remain connected, to build friendships, to stay active, to engage in outings, fun activities and to share a meal each week.
Islanders Day Club meets every Monday at 10am in the ANZAC Room of Phillip Island RSL. Activities include morning tea, gentle exercises, jokes, games, carpet bowls, outings and subsidised lunches by the RSL. Members are encouragaged to attend in-house meetings on a regular basis to qualify for subsidised outings and bus trips.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS February 4 Welcome back - speaker from Seniors Road Safety Program - Boost February 11 Ten Pin Bowling - $8/game and lunch is $7. Arrive at Bowling Centre at 11am (Settlement Road, Cowes) February 18 Corn in the Hole and Price is Right game day February 25 Darnum Musical Village - 300 different and old musical instruments followed by lunch at the Darnum Pub .
